HISTORY
It began in 1991 when Ola Johansson and Simon Fäldt studied music together and found out that they had the same interest for experimental music.
They began as a duo and was called Prognos Väderspänning, a name that was inspired by a mythology book about how to get a man to fart himself to death.
The duo created their experimental music with trumpet, drums and programmed synthesizers as complement. They also invited guest musicians such as Christer Fäldt, Simons father, who read poetry and played indian instruments, Johan Berthling, on acoustic bass (freelance jazzmusician), Andreas Brink, on bass (filmproducer), Lars Carlsson, on guitar (classical composer) and many more.
After a few years and lot of recording sessions and live performances the project took a break in the late nineties.
Over the years Simon and Ola got to know Sebastian Freij who had a background in classical music and had developed his own style on the electric cello with fx pedals and loopstation.
In february of 2011 they decided to reform the band and now with Sebastian as a member and the bandname was shortened to Prognos.
The band members has worked seperately as musicians, both live, studio, on TV and radio with many artist.
